Lawson Chu, A.Plus Executive Consulting Director, is an all-rounded and experienced professional in strategic management, human resources and learning consultancy. He was the head of human resources functions in different business in Asia. To cope with the rapid expansion of different business, Lawson has solid experience in building organization and formulating strategies for people development.

 

Previously, Lawson was the Vice President – Human Resources of CommVerge Solutions as well as the Head of HR of Yahoo! Asia. He has established the HR function and built the strategic management and operation team of worldwide telecommunication and Internet media business in Asia including Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei & India. He was the head of different business enterprises taking care of business strategy and expansion.


Paul currently is the founder and the Director of the A.Plus Group. Previously, Paul was the first batch of talents in being selected to join the Management Trainee Program with COMITEX HOLDINGS LTD, the Giordano Group after his university graduation. He has equipped solid experience in full spectrum of business management including retail service, accounting and finance, sales and distribution, business development, marketing, production, merchandising, retail and franchise operation as well as EDP etc. He has been assigned to several key management positions within the Giordano Group including Project Manager and Distribution Manager before he further gained the international business exposure as the General Manager – Malaysia with the Giordano Group. His strong start-up and business reengineering experience were gained further when he was further assigned as the Director of Operations – Mid China based in Shanghai with TIGER ENTERPRISES LTD. Christina Teo

Christina is a very experienced consultant with solid senior executive management experience. Christina brings with her 20 years of management and marketing experience in the IT, Internet and mobile industry. She has extensive experience in developing regional strategies and tracking market developments and event management, with a deep understanding of the markets and business models of consumer, commodity IT products and large enterprises solutions.

 

Prior consulting, Christina manages the business for Evoke Asia out of Singapore. Evoke Asia represents the PDA phone segment of BenQ in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia. Evoke Asia also sources phones for an Israeli company, Emblaze with operations in Europe selling to European mobile operators.

 

Christina was responsible for the sales and development of the Asia markets as the Vice President, Asia for O2 mobile services, devices and applications. Additionally Christina holds the portfolio of managing the roadmap of data-centric devices and applications for O2 across Asia Pacific as well as after sales service for the devices. Christina has been with O2 since the birth of the brand resulting from the demerger of the British Telecoms wireless business.

 

Christina joins O2 (previously named as Genie Internet) from Yahoo! Singapore where she was the General Manager responsible for the operations, business development, sales and marketing for both Singapore and the South East region. Working in Hong Kong previously with 3Com, she was the Personal Connectivity Product Marketing and Consumer Marketing Director for Asia Pacific. In this role, she was responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategies for both analogue and broadband Internet access products.

 

Prior to joining 3Com, Christina has had extensive marketing and management roles for Digital Equipment, IBM, Acer and IDC Asia spanning Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Europe. At Digital Equipment, Christina was the Strategic Marketing Director for Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong and was part of the core team that integrated both the Digital and Compaq operations when Compaq acquired Digital.

 

Christina was appointed Marketing Manager for IBM Direct ASEAN/South Asia where she pioneered IBM Direct, the new direct marketing initiative of IBM. Prior to her tenure at IBM, Christina worked seven years for Acer. These included stints for PC Sales and Marketing for Asia Pacific, Latin America and Middle East as well as Acer’s Unix sales headquarters based in Taipei. Christina moved to Paris as European Marketing Director for two years and spent a further two years as General Manager of Acer Italy. She was instrumental in turning around the Acer Italy operations into a profitable one within several months.

 

Christina began her career with IDC Asia in 1987 setting up their office in Singapore and was heavily involved in research in Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan IT markets, upon graduation from the University of Singapore, with a major in Economics and Sociology.

Maggie Yeung, A.Plus Training Consultant, is a dynamic, assertive and interactive facilitator with very solid experience in management, strategy, sales & marketing, operation management as well as communication. With about 20 years experience in different nature of career assignment, Maggie has a wide international exposure all over Greater China, Asia as well as North America & Europe.

 

Maggie is our Contract Training Consultant focusing on management, strategy and people development since 2002. She started her career in the Government of Hong Kong in 1985 as the Executive Officer and Liason Officer. She has equipped excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, by in-charging of different intensive communication projects and she has acquired solid skills in communicating with people from all walks of the life.

 

After 4 years in the Hong Kong Government, Maggie changed her career by joining the commercial field and became the first Management Trainee of the talented program of airline in 1989. She has grown together with Dragonair from a startup company to a profitable and reputable airline in the Region. With more than 15 years in Dragonair, Maggie has stepped up her own career to the executive management team as the Assistant General Manager, responsible for Revenue Management, worldwide Sales & Distribution by reporting direct to the Chief Operating Officer. Maggie has spent much time in working in sales and marketing strategies for overseas markets including the PRC, Asia, Europe and the America. On the other side, during her career with Dragonair, she also equipped a lot of operation management experience when she was the In-flight Catering Manager and the Area Manager in Amsterdam, the Neverthelands for the cargo service when Dragonair first launched their cargo operation. She also acquired solid strategic country and people management experience when she was the Country Head of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and Taiwan. Her people management experience included a big team of about 100 employees in different assignments.

He graduated from the Hong Kong University, majors in the social sciences, had obtained University of London LLB afterwards. He is the member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public & Accountants and Fellow members of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Anthony has more than fifteen years experiences in the financial audit domain, and once worked multi-national, excelled in the rigorous work to give dual attention to the cultural fusion.

 

Anthony once worked in Deloitte & Touche Hong Kong accountant department for many years, and was responsible for the audit, the negotiable securities broker, the IPO project also acted as the Asia-Pacific coordinator for several US clients, including Merrill Lynch, Ann Taylor. His duties include running a stub-period audit, meetings with all parties (the sponsor, the client, the legal counsels), working with all parties on answering the queries from the HK Stock Exchange, meeting with the officials of HK Stock Exchange, etc. He was also involved in the Global Investment Performance Standard review project of asset managers and acted as the Asia-Pacific coordinator for several US clients, including Merrill Lynch, Ann Taylor. Soon he was handpicked by the firm to be the participant of Strategic Career Development Programs to study the American accountant standard, the audit standard and the SEC rule carries on the comprehensive.

Cindy Yung, Learning Consultant of A.Plus, has more than 13 years solid experience in employee relation, human resources and people development, as well as strategic business communication experience. She demonstrated her high energy level and participant friendly approach in facilitation with strong motivation and enthusiasm to facilitate learning.

 

With a very solid experience gained in the Labour Department of the Hong Kong Government since 1990s, Cindy has able to manage different employee relations issues including law enforcement, communication and negotiation, learning and development for different employees in Hong Kong. Her wide exposure to different employment and management issues, plus her experience in handling different types of employees, enabled Cindy to be a very good facilitator in helping people to understand and learn about different management issues positively.
